The River A-Frame

This 1977 Lindal Cedar home on the Columbia River, crafted from old-growth cedar logs, has been thoughtfully remodeled to preserve its historic character and original footprint while creating a more experiential and open living space that maximizes natural light and panoramic views. The renovation tackled the complexities of updating electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems within solid 4” log walls, while also integrating new construction to include an additional bedroom, two bathrooms, and a finished basement. Great care was taken to restore the natural cedar logs to their original beauty, with the home’s original handmade textural elements guiding material choices.
